Study: Less than 5% of sites comply with new ad standards

New York--Although 25% of ad-supported Web sites host large online banner ads, less than 5% run formats that comply with the new Internet Advertising Bureau standards, according to a new study by AdRelevance, Jupiter Media Metrix Inc.'s online ad tracking service. The research reveals that the number of ads exactly matching the new standards increased by 50% during each week in February, yet they accounted for less than 1% of all ads created since the new IAB specifications were launched in February.
