Study: Mobile user conversion rates grow

Bangalore, India—Users of smartphones and tablet computers are increasingly completing transactions on their devices, according to a study from advertising network provider InMobi. According to the company's online survey of 1,000 users during this year's second quarter, 59% had made mobile commerce transactions during the previous six months. That compared with 38% who had made a mobile purchase in the previous six-month period. While 46% of purchases were for such digital products as apps and music, more than a quarter of all users bought products priced at $50 or more through mobile channels, according to the study.
