Survey finds business up for promotional products industry

Trevose, Pa.—The Advertising Specialty Institute’s annual analysis of industry sales trends indicates revenues in the promotional products industry increased to $16.9 billion in 2004.

ASI’s survey found that 61% of promotional products distributors indicated their revenues in the fourth quarter were higher than in the same period in 2003. For 2005, nearly three-quarters of distributor companies are forecasting that business will increase at least 5%.

In the survey, distributors said the positive results and outlook stemmed from promotional products becoming more widely accepted in the marketing mix, as well as the overall strength of the North American economy.
