TechTarget to add midmarket IT magazine

Published on .

Needham, Mass.—TechTarget announced Tuesday that it is launching a monthly magazine, CIO Decisions, in April 2005.

The announcement of the new publication, which will be distributed to 60,000 information technology executives at midmarket companies, makes it clear what TechTarget’s plans are for Maryfran Johnson, the former editor in chief of International Data Group’s Computerworld, whom TechTarget hired away earlier this year.

Johnson will serve as editor in chief of CIO Decisions and VP of the CIO Decisions media group, which will produce a Web site and a CIO Decisions conference.

TechTarget Exec VP Joseph L. Levy, founder of IDG’s CIO magazine and its CXO Media unit, and former president-CEO of IDG Communications, will lead sales and operations as group publisher.
