TechTarget debuts Activity Intelligence

Newton, Mass.—Tech media company TechTarget unveiled Thursday a new platform called Activity Intelligence, which allows the company to view the online behavior of TechTarget users to serve them the most relevant content and marketing messages. “It's like when Amazon or Netflix makes a suggestion based on what you've already done,” said TechTarget CEO Greg Strakosch. “We're basically doing the same thing.”

TechTarget said that Activity Intelligence uses the company's data warehouse, which catalogs millions of activities per month across more than 80 TechTarget editorial sites. The platform allows TechTarget to anticipate and deliver relevant editorial, peer-to-peer, and vendor content to match the users' position in the sales funnel.

TechTarget said that beta testing of Activity Intelligence yielded a threefold increase in audience response rates.
