The Ziff Davis Web Buyer's Guide last week announced the launch of its Lead Generation Showcase Program, a white paper-based program designed to drive sales by providing technology marketers with targeted leads in the enterprise IT industry. Under the program, marketers' white papers will be syndicated across the Ziff Davis Enterprise Online network of Web sites including Baselinemag.com, CIOInsight.com and eWeek.com. All white papers are qualified with a standard or custom registration form and lead data are provided to the customer on a weekly basis.
Study finds b-to-b e-commerce Web sites lag consumer sites
People using b-to-b e-commerce Web sites accomplish what they set out to do only 58% of the time, compared with a 66% success rate on consumer e-commerce sites, according to a study. The study, "B2B Website Usability: Design Guidelines for Converting Business Users into Leads and Customers," was conducted by Nielsen Norman Group, which advises companies on the usability of their Web sites. According to the study, bad Web site design causes people to downgrade their perception of a company. Notable among the elements of bad design are: incomplete product design, which creates skepticism; overwhelming and convoluted content, which creates confusion; and pushy marketing tactics, which cause annoyance and distrust.
TechTarget develops media program for IT marketers
Information technology publisher TechTarget last month announced the launch of TechTarget Magnifier, a media program designed to enable IT marketers to categorize, prioritize, cultivate and deliver leads quickly to their sales force. The company said the program enables marketers to use multiple content assets to capture prospects' attention, based on their specific purchase path. It also lets them identify the best leads in real-time based on demographic criteria and interaction with specific content.
MarketingPilot releases updated version of automation software
Marketing software company MarketingPilot last month released MarketingPilot for Windows R9, the latest version of its marketing automation software. The upgraded software includes new features in media buying, production, reporting and multicompany support.
