Twitter to offer follower dashboard

San Francisco—Twitter has announced a new dashboard, called Follower Dashboard, to provide companies with insights into the audience of followers they've built on Twitter.

The new feature lets marketers access data about their followers; shows how a brand's followers have increased or decreased over time; breaks an audience down by gender and location; displays what interests they have shown; illustrates how engaged they are; and details what kinds of Twitter users they follow, according to the company.

The new dashboard joins the geo-targeted version of Twitter's Promoted Products marketing platform, announced last month, which allows marketers to customize Twitter ad placements by region.
