Twitter to roll out ad products to 50 countries

San Francisco—Twitter plans to expand its advertising products to an additional 50 countries by the end of the year, with Latin America and western Europe the first areas to get the company's ad lineup of promoted tweets, promoted trends and promoted accounts. Brazil, Germany and Spain top Twitter's list of where these ad units will appear, announced at the Cannes Lion International Advertising Festival and as reported by The Guardian. Twitter currently has 140 million members worldwide, with about 60% of its audience accessing the service via mobile phones, according to the company.
