Emeryville, Calif.—Overall deliverability rates for European e-mail providers outstripped those of their U.S. counterparts in the first quarter, according to e-mail marketing provider Lyris Technologies, a subsidiary of J.L. Halsey Corp.

Lyris on Friday released the results of its deliverability monitoring through the company’s EmailAdvisor service.

European ISPs achieved a 94% deliverability rate, while U.S. ISPs only had an 86% deliverability rate. False-positive spam filtering is also higher in the U.S., with 7.7% of valid messages getting blocked, compared with 3.5% in Europe.
