UBM Electronics, Digi-Key offer virtual training for engineers

San Francisco—UBM Electronics, publisher of DesignNews, said it has partnered with electronic components distributor Digi-Key Corp. to launch the Digi-Key Continuing Education Center, a free virtual training service. The program, which is aimed at electronic, design and test engineers, will run for six months.

The first course in the series, “Microcontrollers, Basics,” will begin on Jan. 16. Jon Titus, contributing technical editor of Design News, and Alexander Wolfe, content director at Design News, will teach the course.

Future courses will include “Microcontrollers, Advanced,” “Sensors” and “Basic Industrial Control Processing.”

"Digi-Key has actively sought business partnerships that allow us to provide product and complementary educational information to our customers," said Tony Harris, Digi-Key's CMO, in a statement.
