Venator tries again

New York-Grasping at another way out of its financial difficulties, Venator Group formed a unit to focus on Internet and catalog sales. The unit will be called eVenator. It also said it will reduce operating costs by $100 million and capital spending by 68% this year to boost profits. The former Woolworth Corp. said it expects to report fourth-quarter earnings within the range of analysts' estimates. (From Crain's New York Business)
