'Wall Street Journal' ad linage for May down nearly 36% from last year

New York--Dow Jones & Co. Inc. said Friday that May advertising linage for the company's flagship Wall Street Journal fell 35.8% compared with the same period a year earlier. Dow Jones had said in April that it expected second-quarter ad linage to fall between 20% and 35% because of the continued weakness in the advertising and technology markets.
