Wolters Kluwer sells education unit to Bridgepoint Capital for $1.3 billion

Amsterdam—Wolters Kluwer, a global information services and publishing company, on Monday said it has agreed to sell its education division to private equity firm Bridgepoint Capital for $1.3 billion. Wolters Kluwer said it will use $634 million of the proceeds for a share buyback and the remainder to reduce debt and fund growth initiatives.
