Sunnyvale, Calif.—Yahoo on Thursday announced a reorganization plan aimed at improving its products and technologies as well as the way new products and services are launched.
It is the latest in a series of reorganization maneuvers the Internet giant has undertaken in the last two years and follows the departure of several senior executives in recent weeks.
Key elements of the plan include centralization of product development, formation of an insights strategy team and enhancement of the company’s technology infrastructure designed to improve coordination between product and engineering teams.
Three new teams will report to President Sue Decker: Audience Products, U.S. Region and Insights Strategy. Technology enhancements will include developing a cloud computing and storage infrastructure.
