YouTube rolls out mobile version of TrueView video ads

Mountain View, Calif.—YouTube has introduced a version of its TrueView in-stream video ads for mobile devices. The format lets viewers skip ads that don't interest them after five seconds; advertisers pay only when a user opts to watch an ad. TrueView, which has been available for desktop and laptop computers since 2010, builds on other YouTube mobile ad formats, including Promoted Videos, which are featured at the top of video search results on YouTube's mobile platform.
