Ziff Davis Enterprise to launch custom event simulcast service

New York—Ziff Davis Enterprise plans to introduce Thursday a new Custom Event Simulcast service designed to help marketers in “bridging the gap between digital and face-to-face events,” according to the company.

The service allows users to “attend”—in real time—a live, face-to-face event through a digital desktop interface. The service links virtual attendees to any Ziff Davis Enterprise regional, national or international live event.

The first Custom Event Simulcast will be held Thursday in New York and will be digitally broadcast. The event—sponsored by Dimension Data and its partners APC, EMC, Hewlett-Packard Co. and Sun Microsystems—will discuss new ways to manage data centers in prolonged economic downturns.
