New York--Following months of litigation, Ziff Davis Media Inc. owner Willis Stein & Partners and former chairman-CEO James Dunning Jr. reached a settlement Monday in their long and contentious legal battle. Under the terms of the settlement, Dunning will receive approximately $2.5 million in cash and will relinquish his remaining stock in the company. Dunning filed the lawsuit, which accused Ziff Davis of breach of contract and age discrimination, in September after he was fired from the struggling media company the previous month. Ziff Davis countersued soon after Dunning filed his lawsuit.
