The political ads set to run during the Olympics are sure to raise some eyebrows, but not for the reasons you probably think. Actually, based on the tone this election campaign has taken so far, the ads probably will raise some eyebrows for their tone and messaging. But it's the cost of these ads that already has many in the agency world scratching their heads. According to Media Post, Barack Obama and John McCain have managed to score sweetheart deals with NBC Universal and will be spending no more than $250,000 for their 30-second prime-time Olympic spots. This comes in way under the going rate of $700,000 and up.
