Megyn Kelly to Newt Gingrich: 'Take Your Anger Issues and Spend Some Time Working on Them'

By Published on .

Miss the rough-and-tumble presidential debates between Donald Trump and Hillary Clinton? You're in luck! On Tuesday night's "The Kelly File" on Fox News, host Megyn Kelly and former Speaker of the House Newt Gingrich sparred with gusto, making for an improbably riveting spectacle that has the media and political chattering classes abuzz.

The exchange was contentious from the start, with Kelly repeatedly challenging Trump supporter Gingrich on his perception of the polls (Gringrich thinks they're misleading and that Trump could still win). But the interview really got heated when Gringrich complained about the media's coverage of the sexual harrassment and assault accusations made against Trump, saying, "I mean, you want to go back through the tapes of your show recently, you are fascinated with sex, and you don't care about public policy."

Gloves off! It only devolved from there, with Gringrich trying to get Kelly to call Bill Clinton a "sexual predator" before Kelly wrapped the whole thing up with "We're going to have to leave it at that. And you can take your anger issues and spend some time working on them, Mr. Speaker. Thanks for being here."

Gingrich's comeback: "And you too -- and you too. You too."
