Costa Coffee Crowdsources Commercial Stars With Head-Replacement Campaign

UK coffee chain Costa is picking the stars of its next commercial via a digital app as part of a TV, print and digital campaign through Karmarama.

The Coffee Heads app will allow people to record and upload themselves singing along to KISS track "I was made for loving you", which appears in an initial TV ad, and features baristas buried up to their necks in coffee beans. The best performances will be featured in a future ad in which they'll also appear buried in the beans. The app, available via the Costa Facebook page, or via iTunes, also lets people share their performance with their friends.
