YouTube, Facebook and master-advertiser IKEA get together to create a bedroom just for you. The brand just launched its UK YouTube Channel, which incorporates Facebook connect so you can sign in using your account. Then, a 3D bedroom is created that boasts little creative touches like pictures of your friends hanging on the walls. The bedroom will draw on information in your Facebook profile to truly personalize the space.
Users can then explore and modify the space, check out product information, print out a detailed shopping list or go to the Ikea website to purchase the products.
The project is part of a wide "bedrooms" project from Ikea, which has done research into what Britons really want from their bedchambers. The research is also informing a redesign of roomsets in Ikea stores.
