Ad Age will be hosting its second CMO Strategy Summit in San Francisco on June 4, followed by a curated Technology Tour, specifically for conference attendees, on June 5.

For chief marketers, there's no shortage of conferences and events to attend. But with the CMO Strategy Summit, Ad Age has created an intimate gathering of savvy marketing leaders who, through innovation and creativity, are managing brands small and large.

The CMO Strategy Summit will be held at the Intercontinental Hotel and will cover a wide variety of topics crucial to marketers today from how to use of customer data to build the business to the challenges in evolving established brands. The second-day Technology Tour will give attendees exclusive access to some of the most intriguing companies in Silicon Valley.

Rob Price, chief marketer at CVS, will kick off the day, sharing how the drug store chain has used its best-in-class ExtraCare loyalty program to create a more personalized shopping experience. The 15-year-old program, which counts 70 million active cardholders, feeds into nearly all that CVS does, from store design to the types of offers and coupons offered.

During the day attendees will also hear about how smaller, non-profit marketers, like Matt Farrell, CMO at USA Swimming, must prove out the ROI on every marketing dollar spent and stay true to a higher mission while standing out among profit-oriented marketers with deeper pockets.

Other speakers include: Dean Evans, CMO of Subaru; Cammie Dunaway, US-president and global CMO of Kidzania; Frances Allen, CMO of Denny's; Alfredo Martel, CMO of Caribou Coffee; Tony Wells, CMO of ADT; and Andy Callahan, president-retail at Hillshire Brands.

The day will conclude with Joe Whitney, director of sales and marketing at Sierra Nevada. As one of the first craft brewers, Sierra Nevada has succeeded against the big boys of beer with a "slaying giants" mentality and targeted marketing. The brewer will also treat attendees to a beer tasting.
