Popeyes is trying to boost interest in its delivery by chasing after people who are ordering pizza.
In a new video, a driver with a bag from Popeyes is shown following around a pizza delivery driver. Once the pizza is delivered, the Popeyes driver asks the pizza purchaser if they’d like to swap their pizza for a Popeyes Family Meal.
Often, but not always, the answer is yes.
Popeyes hinted at the campaign theme on Twitter on Wednesday when it tweeted “pizza”—a one-word tweet that led to plenty of engagement with restaurant brands, other marketers and people on the social media platform. Some wondered whether the fried chicken chain would be coming up with its own pizza product.
