You shouldn't judge a book by its cover, but can you judge a drink by its location?
Starbucks released a map Tuesday showing which of its specialty holiday drinks are most popular in different regions of the United States. No surprise, Frappuccinos sell well in warm places like Florida (Peppermint Mocha Frappuccino) and Hawaii (Caramel Brulée Frappuccino).
Lots of Northeasterners gave the new Holiday Spice Flat White a try, Starbucks said. Midwesterners like their Caramel Brulee Lattes and many in the Pacific Northwest slurp Eggnog Lattes. And don't forget the Pumpkin Spice Latte later in the year. The PSL, which had its big push in early September, remained popular through the winter holidays in the Western Mountain region. Texans ordered lots of Chestnut Praline Lattes, while those in the Mid Atlantic and Southeast opted for Gingerbread Lattes.
