AKQA, GYK Antler, Johannes Leonardo, Anomaly Add Leaders
AKQA has appointed Josh Combs to the role of creative director at the agency's Portland office. Combs has more than 11 years of experience with digital-focused products and services for brands. He's been a creative director at several other agencies.
New England-based integrated marketing agency GYK Antler has added Michael Gatti as creative director and Dan Dunn as director of photography to its expanding creative team.
Dunn has experience in digital cinematography, producing, directing and shooting. He previously served as a digital producer and editor at Fairfield University, where he went to school. He has worked on projects for brands including The North Face, Red Bull, Food and Wine magazine, and National Geographic. Dunn will be responsible for building out the shooting and end-to-end production capabilities for Big Brick, GYK's in-house production studio.
Creative agency Johannes Leonardo has appointed Dana May as integrated head of production, starting in early October. May's 15-year agency career has been spent working with brands including Verizon, Diageo, Samsung, Puma, Unilever and InterContinental Hotels Group. She joins from an executive producer post at McCann New York. Prior to McCann, she was head of production at CHI & Partners, and a senior producer at Droga5, working with Puma, Activision, Unilever, Net10, Rhapsody and Unicef.
McCann Worldgroup has elevated Sergio Lopez to lead European production operations, an expansion of his current role at McCann London and Craft in the U.K. Lopez has spent the past two years working with both companies on TV, art buying, print, digital, and studio production with brands including Microsoft Xbox and MasterCard.
Andy Childs has joined Anomaly Amsterdam in the newly-created role of communication planning and partnership director. He will work closely with Amanda Feve, chief strategy officer, and Gabe Jaffe, cultural director. Prior to Anomaly, Childs was head of international planning at Maker Studios, where he managed The Walt Disney Company relationship for branded content and video distribution. Before that, he was global strategy director at Havas Media Group, running Hyundai-Kia communications globally, and earlier worked at OMD and BBDO. Childs started his career in the U.K., setting up music events in Brighton and London using social media to fill the venues and uncover new talent.
Taxi New York has promoted Reid Miller to chief creative officer.
Jeff MacEachern and Jordan Doucette were also promoted to co-chief creative officers, at Taxi Canada in Toronto.
Founder Paul Lavoie, who has been acting as chairman and CCO, will move to the chairman emeritus role in 2017.
