360i Expands Creative Team, BBDO Promotes Boer and More
360i has made three new hires, taking on Karen Crane as executive director of creative talent, Javier Fuentes as creative director and Heather English as associate creative director. Crane was most recently talent and operations consultant at Karen Crane Consulting and a partner at global executive search agency Grace Blue. Before that, she was director of creative services at Grey, overseeing creative talent development, operations and training. She has also worked at DDB and Martha Stewart Living Omnimedia. Fuentes has worked at agencies including Leo Burnett, CP&B, The Barbarian Group and Vidal Partnership. English previously worked at Grey, on DirecTV, Ketel One and Captain Morgan.
BBDO New York has promoted senior creative director Danilo Boer to head of art and design, a new role at the agency, Boer, who will report to Greg Hahn, chief creative officer of BBDO New York and David Lubars, chief creative officer at BBDO Worldwide, joined the agency in 2009 as an art director and has worked with clients inlcuding AT&T, Foot Locker, Guinness, Mountain Dew and Visa. Prior to joining BBDO New York, he worked at Almap BBDO in Brazil on clients including Pepsi, Volkswagen, Havaianas and Getty Images.
Shari Walczak and Shane Ogilvie have left Zulu Alpha Kilo in Toronto to open their own agency, The Garden. Ogilvie has worked in both Canada and the U.S. on brands including Bell, Coca- Cola, Corona, Tabasco, Capital One, Audi and Budweiser. Walczak has more than 20 years of experience working on brands including Interac, Corona, Cineplex Entertainment, ING Direct (now Tangerine), Kraft Foods and Coca-Cola.
Muhtayzik Hoffer has promoted Josh Bogdan and Tony Zimney to creative directors and hired Nate Gagnon as associate creative director. Bogdan began working with the agency in 2012 as a senior copywriter and his campaigns include "It's Your Town" for New Amsterdam Vodka. Zimeny joined in 2013 as an associate creative director, and has worked on campaigns including Annie's Homegrown Mac and Cheese Pizza. Together the pair have worked on Netflix's social campaigns including its "Spoilers" site, Zoosk, and Google Chrome. Gagnon was freelancing, working on projects including Forgotify.com, which featured songs never played on Spotify.
GSD&M has hired Kris and Alisa Wixom as group creative directors. The husband-and-wife team will return to Austin, TX, from TBWA/Chiat/Day New York, where they were global creative directors, working on Absolut Vodka, Skittles and Jameson Whiskey. The pair started at Lyon Advertising in Austin and have also worked at Goodby, Silverstein & Partners, Fallon Minneapolis and BBH New York. Among other awards, their work garnered an Emmy Award commercial nomination for Absolut Vodka's "Anthem" spot.
