Carlos Bayala Named Global Partner at Mother; Chris Fahey Leads Big Spaceship Product Innovation

Mother has named Carlos Bayala, founding partner/ECD at its Buenos Aires partner agency Madre, a global creative partner. He will team with Mother founders Mark Waites and Robert Saville and Mother N.Y. partner/founder Paul Malmstrom to help build out the agency's global creative footprint and secure top talents from around the world. His role will also include increased responsibilities in Latin America, where he will work with Madre Partner Alejandro Dominguez to expand Mother's business beyond Argentina.

Mr. Bayala joined the Mother family along with his partner and wife Gabriella in 2000 to work on clients such as Coca-Cola and Unilever before moving to Wieden + Kennedy, where he steered memorable work for Nike. Later, he rejoined the Mother family to open Madre with Alejandro Dominguez in 2006.

Big Spaceship has named Chris Fahey as VP of product and user experience. In that role, he will steer all product innovation across client work and the agency's internal projects. Mr. Fahey moves from healthcare startup ZocDoc. Prior to that, he co-founded Behavior Design, a digital consultancy serving clients like The Gilt Groupe, HBO, The New York Times, Businessweek and others. Mr. Fahey earned his BFA from The Cooper Union and has taught at SVA's Interaction Design MFA Program.

CP+B has promoted Kristen Fox to its director of social media and department head. Ms. Fox joined the agency in 2010 and previously served as group media director, social & mobile. At the agency, she has been involved in managing social media services for clients like Grey Poupon, Kraft Mac & Cheese and Jell-O and in her new role, she will oversee social AOR work across all the agency's offices. Previously, she was a senior VP at Edelman Digital, where she steered U.S. Twitter and Facebook efforts for Dove U.S. Outside of social, she has experience leading mobile efforts for clients like eBay, Qualcomm, AXE, Wal-Mart, Ben & Jerry's, P&G and others.

DDB and Tribal Amsterdam have signd on award-winning Dutch creative team Alex Herwig and Jeroen Thissen. The pair will work on the agencies' entire roster, for brands including KLM, adidas, Heineken, McDonald's, C&A and Vattenfall. They last worked at Havas Worldwide Amsterdam and have won awards such as Silver and Gold Cannes Lions, a Webby, Dutch Spin Awards and Art Diretors Club Netherlands.

St. John & Partners in Jacksonville, Florida has named industry vet Peter Herbst as ECD. Herbst was last a creative director at Y&R New York, where he worked on Green Mountain Coffee and Valvoline. Prior to that he was CD at Brand Buzz in New York, on clients including Nets Basketball, LG, Davidoff and British Aeronautical Equipment. Other clients in his portfolio in clude Sharpie, Lincoln/Mercury, Burt's Bees, Amex, Nike and Frito Lay.
