Havas Hires Anderson to Head Design, Ogilvy Shanghai Picks ECDs and more
Havas Worldwide Chicago has named Chuck Anderson of NoPattern Studio its creative director of design. Anderson is a Chicago-based artist, designer, photographer and founder of NoPattern Studio, which he started in 2004 at the age of 18. He has worked on design projects for such clients as ESPN, Burton, Absolut, Nike, Google, Mtn Dew, McDonalds, Microsoft, Target and Honda, among others.
Ogilvy Shanghai has appointed Thomas Zhu and Juggi Ramakrishnan as executive creative directors working under Graham Fink, chief creative officer, Ogilvy & Mather China. Zhu, who has 15 years experience as a writer in the Chinese market, is being promoted from group creative director, while Ramakrishnan moves from his role as ECD in Beijing, having also worked in India and Singapore. Meanwhile, Chong Kin joins Ogilvy Beijing as executive creative director. He moves from Leo Burnett and has over 20 years' experience in the industry, having worked on accounts across the consumer packaged goods, luxury and telecoms sectors.
Mediacom has appointed Trixie Ferguson Gray as senior partner, branded content & experiences, a new position at the agency reporting to Mark Fortner, managing partner and head of innovation. She joins from Maxus, a GroupM sister agency, where she led insights, creative strategy and media ideation for NBC Universal, UPS and new business. Prior to joining Maxus, she was VP-experience architect and a member of the content and experiences team at UM. Her contribution to the launch of MasterCard's Priceless New York campaign also won a Cannes Media Lion Shortlist nomination and a Bronze Effie.
Fuhu, maker of an Android tablet built for kids, has hired former advertising creative Rob Palmer as its new chief creative officer. Palmer has led teams at Wieden & Kennedy, Goodby Silverstein & Partners and most recently Razorfish, working on campaigns for brands such as Apple, Coca-Cola, ESPN and Ebay. At Fuhu, he will be developing and overseeing the creative vision and strategy as well as building an internal advertising agency.
