Ray Johnson -- formerly a VP-creative supervisor at Lowe/New York, where he worked on Saab's "State of Independence" campaign and on the GMC Trucks business -- has joined L.A. agency David and Goliath as group creative director on the Kia Motors account. ... Jill Rothman, most recently of DDB/New York, has rejoined J. Walter Thompson/New York as an executive producer. Rothman, who was a senior producer at JWT from 1985 through 1999, is one of four new executive producers promoted by JWT head of broadcast John Garland in a departmental restructuring that will set up four autonomous production "pods" at the flagship office. Terry Brogan, Bill Finnegan and Darcey Cherubini will head up the other three pods. ... Editor and director Michael Palermo, formerly of Eyeball NYC, has joined New York's Northern Lights Post. ...
