Former BBH creatives Marc Hawker and Ishbel Whitaker, known as Marc & Ish, have joined production company Interrogate for US representation. The commercial, film, and creative directing duo joins Interrogate after completing a seven film Cartier campaign based on seven exclusive rings with Belgian supermodel Anouck Lepere. The pair were shortlisted for an Academy Award for their collaboration with David LaChapelle on feature documentary Rize. Their spot for Renault UK with Publicis London starring Dita Von Teese was named "Britain's sexiest TV ad ever," and banned from daytime television. Their career has also included a spell as creatives in residence at BBH, London.
Interrogate Signs Mark & Ish, Backyard Opens in South Africa And More

Venice, CA-based Backyard has expanded to include a new full-service office in Cape Town, Backyard SA. Backyard SA is a partnership with executive producer Janette De Villiers, who will act as the company's managing director, and will continue to separately maintain her South African production service company, Groundglass. Backyard SA will offer Backyard's director roster to the South African advertising community and will serve as a resource for American advertisers wanting to shoot overseas.

Director Diane Paragas has joined Accomplice Media for exclusive representation in commercials. Paragas has directed campaigns for American Airlines, the New York State Department of Health, Care.com and Proust.com, the latter a First Place winner in Google's TV for All Contest. Her documentary work includes Brooklyn Boheme¸ a 2012 feature-length documentary for Showtime that she made in tandem with writer and critic Nelson George.

Chris Hughlett and Aaron Rosenbloom have launched California Amish, a New York-based live-action production company with a focus on comedic work and unconventional markets. Hughlett and Rosenbloom's work includes the Brasil Quest game and installation that drew crowds to Times Square for the chance to win a trip to Brazil, and a Capri Sun mini-documentary in which they enlisted a team of inventors and deep thinkers to foil NFL Redskins' Niles Paul's teammates from stealing his juice.

ACNE has added several new members to its roster. Interactive director/music producer Drasko Vucevic (center) animation and effects specialist Chris Gardner, (left) and writer, technologist, programmer, designer, researcher and game designer Eskil Steenberg (right) will join the team. Their recent portfolio includes a live stream of an adidas fashion show, iPhone apps that track the provenance of McDonald's food and transform sleep patterns into works of art, and a create-your-own campaign video app for the Y-3 fashion brand.

Little Minx has added Laurent Barthelemy to its directorial roster. Barthelemy, who joins Little Minx from a ten-year tenure at Psyop/Smuggler, has worked with brands such as American Express, Michelin, Yahoo, AT+T, as well as helming the new intro for TED. His VFX work for the Nike's "Human Chain" spot earned a Clio and a Cannes Lion, and he was one the lead artists on the AICP-winning MTV HD spot "Crow".

Craig Duncan has been named a partner at Cutters Studios. Duncan has served as executive producer of Cutters Studios for almost three years and has been instrumental in Cutters Studios opening new offices in Detroit and Tokyo, with a New York office in the works.

Workhorse Media has added directors Darren Ashton and Michael Sugrue to its roster for exclusive US representation. Ashton, an Australian not previously represented in the US, directs through Exit Films in Australia. Sugrue, a still photographer who moved into motion work several years ago, joins Workhorse Media from Republic Content. Ashton is best known in Australia for his comedy work for brands such as NRMA Insurance, Vodafone and others while Sugrue's work includes spots for such brands as Purina, Microsoft, ESPN, Novartis, and Visa.

Brent Nichols has been named executive creative director at bicoastal audio shop, Elias. His original composition on Spike Jonze's Adidas spot "Hello Tomorrow" featuring Karen O of the Yeah Yeah Yeahs, won a One Show award, 4 AICP awards, 7 Clio Silver awards, and 2 Cannes Gold Lions, including the Award for Best Use of Music. Other work includes "I'm Here" for Absolut Vodka, "Kaleidoscopic Fashion Spectacular" for Target and Match.com's "Piano".

Alanda, parent company of Fluid Editorial, Butter Music, and Mr. Bronx Audio Post, has added design and animation company Scout to its group of companies. Scout is led by former Superfad NY creative directors Chace Hartman and Brian Drucker, and former Superfad NY head of production Whitney Green. The studios are located in Soho, NYC, and Venice, CA.
