JWT New York has appointed Ben James as executive creative director, its first senior creative hires since co-CCOs Ryan Kutscher and Matt MacDonald took on their new roles in May. James joins after a year of freelancing as a creative director for agencies including JWT New York. He first met and worked with Kutscher and Jeff Benjamin, JWT's North American chief creative officer, at Crispin Porter + Bogusky Miami/Los Angeles, where he worked on Burger King, MINI, Slim Jim and IKEA. He has also spent time at Goodby, Silverstein & Partners and Y&R Chicago and from 2008 to 2011, was with CAA (Creative Artists Agency) as a creative director/marketing agent. His work has been awarded by Cannes Lions, D&AD, the Sundance Film Festival, MTV Video Music Awards, The One Show and ANDYs.

72andSunny has appointed Heather Wischmann as director of interactive production. Wischmann has previously managed interactive teams at San Francisco agencies such as Goodby, Silverstein & Partners, AKQA and Venables, Bell and Partners where her work has included for the "Got Milk?" Campaign and the eBay, Toys for Tots "Give-a-Toy Store" digital installation.

Identity has signed director Jean Baptiste Leonetti to its roster for North America and Europe. Leonetti has just completed his first feature-length film, "Carre Blanc", which was featured at both the Toronto Film Festival and AFI Fest. He has been directing commercials in France for the past ten years for brands that include Canon, Playstation, Coca Cola, Renault, Peugeot, France Telecom and others. He broke into advertising by directing several spots with French prodco Lapac, Cake and later through his own production company Solair Films.
