Grey New York has appointed Dan Kelleher as executive creative director, after the creative spent the last few years running his own creative consulting practice. Kelleher has also worked at Saatchi & Saatchi as SVP and creditive director, on accounts like Miller High Life, Keystone Light and Fruit Roll Ups. Kelleher has also worked at shops including BBDO New York, Cliff Freeman & Partners, Devito/Verdi and Ammirati & Puris. "I've always admired Dan's work and have been trying to hire him for the past two years. Finally, he acquiesced!" said Grey CCO Tor Myhren in a statement.
Sophie Kelly (pictured) has been appointed president of The Barbarian Group, responsible for bringing in new business and acting as the lead executive on accounts. She was previously partner and managing director and StrawberryFrog. She has also worked at JWT as global business director. TBG has also picked Jill Nussbaum as executive director for product and interactive design. Nussbaum was previously ECD at R/GA.
Los Angeles-based Barking Owl has added DJ and music supervisor Liza Richardson to its roster. Richardson has worked on shows including Friday Night Lights and Hawaii Five-O. Her film credits include The Kids Are All Right and the Grammy-nominated Y Tu Mama Tambien. She comes to Barking Owl from Stimmung, where she worked as a music supervisor for eight years. At Barking Owl, her next project will be for IBM with Ogilvy.
Steve Doppelt and Steve Kashtan have joined EuroRSCG New York as executive creative directors. Kashtan (pictured left) was previously a creative director at DDB in New York, while Doppelt was group creative director at Merkley + Partners.
It's a reunion of sorts at the agency, because Doppelt (left) and Kashtan have both worked with newly instated chief creative officer of global brands Lee Garfinkel. Kashtan worked with Garfinkel at DDB and Lowe previously, and at Euro he will be working on the Charles Schwab and Kraft Foods accounts. Doppelt worked with Garfinkel at Lowe and will now be focusing on Dos Equis.
Commercial director Bruce St. Clair has joined boutique production company Hello!. St. Clair has worked with brands including Nike, Coke, Volkswagen and Samsung. St. Clair got his start as a rushes runner between Nice and London, before moving to Madrid in the eighties to work as an AD on projects. Hollywood-based Hello! works on a wide range of project styles, from commercials, casting, short films to music videos, digital and photography.
Little Minx directors Ben Mor, Jim Field Smith, Nico & Martin and Sebastian Reed (pictured left) have joined Holiday Films for Canadian representation. Mor, who just finished a tour with the Black Eyed Peas for a new documentary, has worked with clients like H-P, Pepsi and Verizon. Smith has worked in feature films, directing movies like She's Out of My League as well as commercials for Burger King and the Mini.
Argentine duo Nico & Martin (left) have worked on Axe, with a spot called "Premature Perspiration" picking up gold at Cannes this year while Swedish Reed (right), who is a partner at Stockholm-based Camp David Films, has worked with clients including IKEA, Nike and Mercedes.
Brazilian duo Fabio Abram and Braulio Kuwabara are the new creative directors at TBWALondon. Abram and Kuwabara both come from EuroRSCG, but have spent time at TBWA in the past, working under the current London ECD Dede Laurentino at TBWA Sao Paulo. They are most recognized for their work on Dulux Let's Color while at EuroRSCG. Between them, the team has also worked at agencies including DM9DDB, Lowe, Euro RSCG Brasil and Opus&Multipla, developing campaigns for Peugeot, Honda and Nokia.
