Fernando Vega Olmos, chairman of JWT's Worldwide Creative Council and creative chairman, Continental Europe and Latin America, since he joined JWT in 2008, is leaving at the end of 2012, the agency confirmed. Adlatina, one of Ad Age's partners in Latin America, reported that Mr. Vega Olmos plans to develop his own venture related to the creation of intellectual property, both online and offline. He is expected to seek joint-ventures with specialist companies to develop new brands.


The Mill is to open an office in Chicago, adding to its existing facilities in New York, Los Angeles and London. The new office will be led by Jared Yeater as executive producer and will co-locate with local editorial company, The Whitehouse. It is expected to be operational in Q1 of 2013. Yeater is a long-time member of the production team at The Mill New York, where he has served clients across the Midwest. As EP, he will be responsible for servicing the local advertising community and connecting clients to the services of The Mill in its three other locations.

MPC NY has appointed David Estis as its new creative director of digital. Estis, who joins the studio from B-Reel, specializes in motion, experiential, and interactive design. He has also worked at The Mill, Razorfish and Exopolis, working on digital, immersive, interactive and video experiences for clients such as Tanqueray, State Farm, Skype, the AFL-CIO, MAC Cosmetics, MBUSA, Ford, Balenciaga, Ralph Lauren, TED, HULU, GM, Microsoft, Apple and Nicktoons.
