Leo Burnett & Arc Worldwide Malaysia has hired Wieden + Kennedy London creative director Eric Cruz to be executive creative director. The appointment will see Cruz relocate to Kuala Lumpur from London, where he has been based since May 2010 working on Nokia Mobile Computing and Nestea. Prior to W+K London, Cruz spent eight and a half years at W+K Tokyo, working with brands including Nike, Google, Honda, Aiwa, Kumon and Mori Building. He co-founded W+K Tokyo Lab, W+K's experimental music label and creative think tank. Prior to W+K Tokyo, he worked at Imaginary Forces LA, W+K Portland and Studio Archetype. His awards have included the Tokyo ADC Award, a Cannes Cyber Lion, ONE Show Gold and Silver, and The Japan Media Arts Festival Excellence Prize.

Betsy Beale is joining editorial boutique jumP's LA office as executive producer. Previously, Beale worked for chrome and spent seven years as Lost Planet's executive producer on both coasts. She has also worked agency side heading Y&R's Level 2 Post as its managing director. Prior to her work at Lost Planet, Beale acted as a producer at TBWAChiatDay, San Francisco. As well as campaigns for brands such as Nike, HP and Toyota, her work includes Emmy and AICP award-winning campaigns for Fox Sports, a short film for the Sundance Film Festival, and a 10-part TV series, Head to Head.

Editorial house Cut+Run has launched a new editing facility in Hong Kong (pictured), in addition to its offices in London, New York and Los Angeles. The Hong Kong office will serve as a hub for Asia, with more of the company's business now coming from Beijing, Shanghai, Manila and India. Staff will include resident editor Chris Szymanski and a number of British resident editors.

Crossborders has hired Elisa J. Carson to the new role of interactive director, with responsibility for its Walmart account. Carson was most recently an executive producer at Wunderman and has also worked at Wieden + Kennedy, TBWA/Chiat/Day, Arnold and Digitas. She will lead a 10 strong interactive team at Crossborders, which provides communications strategy, media production and app development solutions to clients including Miami Dolphins, Electus, IAC, Veneto Casinos and Hess.
