Believe Media has added French director Lionel Mougin to its roster. Mougin, who spent time as a stage manager and a location scout before starting to write and direct his own short films, has worked on campaigns for brands such as Kronenbourg, Citroen, Peugeot and Nescafe. He has also directed two feature movies: The Sky is to Everyone produced by Dominique Besnehard and Mon Voisin productions and The Best of Me produced by Formosa Films and Boris Van Gils.

Click 3X has hired Mary Crosse as executive producer to oversee Click 3X Live, a new full-service, live-action content company which will focus on commercial production as well as branded content. Crosse joins from Lucky Branded Entertainment, which she helped build. She has also worked at agencies Draftfcb, Publicis, Euro RSCG and mcgarrybowen. She founded or co-founded Conversation Dominoes,, and Jampacks Media and TourGiveaways.

Juan Delcan will headline the Click 3X Live roster. Delcan joins C3X from Nola Pictures, which he helped found in 2005. He has worked successively as a designer, illustrator, videogame creator, creative director in audiovisual production houses, live-action filmmaker, and director of animation and motion graphics. His work includes TV ads, the creation of IDs and broadcast pieces for TV channels in Europe and the United States, short film and documentaries.

Nice Shoes, the NYC-based design, animation, visual effects and color grading studio, has appointed Kristen Martini as managing director. Prior to joining Nice Shoes, Martini spent six years at advertising agencies, seven previous years as a producer/EP at post studios and five years as producer/business manager at advertising agencies. Highlights of her career have included leading a team that created all content for a Microsoft Business to Business in-house studio production; developing the workflow for Bloomberg's 'spot a day' campaign; and developing best practices for Comcast while at Digitas.

Spontaneous has hried VFX artist Ed Manning as CG supervisor based in its New York office. Manning has worked at digital agency R/GA and as a VFX supervisor and technical director with animation and design shops including Method Studios and Psyop. In 2005 he launched his own company, Special Branch, providing VFX and CG services to design and post-production companies, agencies and direct-to-client. Previous to joining Spontaneous, Manning continued to freelance, primarily focused on VFX and 3D look development for commercials, and as a technical consultant.

The Famous Group has signed John X. Carey for live action directing. Carey is a director and editor of branded content, commercials, music videos and documentaries whose work includes marketing campaigns and spots for Google and Mozilla/Firefox, as well as Voices from the Field for Designmatters/Project Concern International, which was awarded a 2011 ADC Gold Cube from the Art Directors Club.
