Young & Rubicam New York has appointed Marc Sobier as global creative director. Sobier joins Y&RNY from Goodby, Silverstein & Partners in San Francisco where he has spent the past six and a half years, serving most recently as a creative director/art director, working on accounts including Frito-Lay, Hyundai, HP, Budweiser, Comcast and Dickies. He co-created the viral for Doritos and curated Doritos' Crash the Super Bowl contest for the past three years, as well as making HP's first ever Super Bowl commercial. His awards include a Cannes Gold Cyber Lion, One Show Gold, as well as awards from D&AD, the Clios, the Andys, Communication Arts & Print. He has also been a Webby winner for the past three years.

Paranoid US has signed directing duo Cousins, who made the Skittles spoof viral hit Sharetherainbow, to its roster for US representation. Cousins is a collaboration of LA-based filmmakers Jordan Sharon and Keith Hamm. Hamm has worked at post houses including Rock Paper Scissors, Arcade Edit, Cosmo Street, Lost Planet and Brickyard. He also founded, profiling the best music videos on the web. Sharon has spent the last five years at Furlined, where he headed their post-production department as editor and post supervisor and also held the role of Creative Resources. In addition to Skittles, Cousins have also directed spots for Volkswagen, Truth, Ad Council and Silk.

Partners Film has added Montreal-based duo The Sanchez Brothers to its roster of directors. The Sanchez Brothers, siblings Carlos and Jason Sanchez, have made commercials for Scotia Bank, TV5 and Familiprix and music videos for The Stills and The World Provider in the past year since they began directing. They began their careers in the world of still photography. Partners will represent them throughout Canada, except in Quebec where they are represented by Quatre Zero Un.

Thornberg & Forester has hired Vi Nguyen as head of 3D and VFX supervisor. Nguyen (pictured, far right, on a rip to Cambodia) led Motion Theory's VFX department between 2004 and 2006 during which time it delivered spots for Budweiser, Cadillac, EA Sports, Gatorade, HP, Lenovo, and McDonalds. Since moving to New York City four years ago he has worked as a freelance VFX and CG supervisor on projects produced through T&F, Buck, The Mill, Eyeball NYC, and others.
