Candeland is best known for his collaboration with Gorillaz co-founder Jamie Hewlitt on animated clips for the band and most recently has earned attention for his work on animated spots for Rock Band and Guitar Hero, including the latest Beatles: Rock Band promo. He also recently directed Coke Zero's "Happy Kingdom" extravaganza.
180 Amsterdam has announced a major agency reorganization, which has called for the creation of specialist units that operate both as independent teams and groups integrated within the agency. As part of the restructuring, managing partners Chris Mendola, Alex Melvin and Andy Fackrell have respectively been named CEO, chairman and chief creative officer. The three will focus on bringing in new talent across the agency, and will also create new units dedicated to retail and digital content creation.
Detail will be the new design and retail unit, to focus on maximizing the brand conversation within marketers' retail spaces. John Van Dorst, former Europe retail marketing director at Levi Strauss will head up the unit, alogn with Julian Wade, head of design, and Stephen Hancock, retail creative director. Mischa Staas will also join as operations director, from his former post as 180 head of creative services. 180 has also opened U-Turn Content Production, a multidisciplinary production house, to be led by former senior producer Claire Finn and former head of studio Mark Kenny. Both divisions will work alongside 180 and sibling digital company RIOT.
Company P, the Swedish content and design studio behind the Interactive Emmy-awarded The Truth About Marika ARG and TV series, has joined Tool of North America for commercials representation. The collective recently finished a production with Buff The Vampire Slayer creator Joss Whedon and are currently working on interactive entertainment properties with Heroes creator Tim Kring.

Multimedia design/animation/directing studio Laundry! has joined the roster of Station Film. Laundry! has created projects for Nike, NASCAR and Wrigley's.
Paranoid U.S. has announced the signing of German director Kai Sehr to its roster. The multiple Lion-winning Sehr is currently wrapping his film Skateistan: To Live And Skate In Kabul, about the first skateboarding school in Afghanistan.
