RKCR/Y&R has hired DDB's Toby Talbot as executive creative director, replacing the outgoing ECD Damon Collins. Talbot is currently the group ECD of DDB New Zealand and regional creative director for DDB Asia Pacific. There, he has overseen award winning work for clients including Sky and VW and steered DDB NZ to become one of the top five offices globally in the DDB network. He was also instrumental in merging its direct, digital, design and PR divisions into one integrated offering. His awards include two gold Lions, three silver Lions, and eight bronze Lions at Cannes, Gold One Shows, Gold Clios and Silver nominations at D&AD.

CP+B has appointed Tom Markham as digital creative director based in its Boulder office. Markham comes to CP+B from Lowe Worldwide where he was global digital creative director managing digital work from 75 agencies around the world and focusing on Unilever. He began his career at Lowe's Auckland office in 2004 as an interactive creative director, working on Vodafone and Genesis Energy, and later ran digital in Lowe's Sydney office helping the agency win digital-only clients like Foxtel, work for which won a Gold Effie in 2009.

1stAveMachine has added Argentinian director Nico Casavecchia to its roster. Having begun his career as both a graphic designer and illustrator, then animator, he has directed short films Buildings and Vampires and Slamdance 16, and is currently working on an eight-camera, experimental video for musician Niamh Farrell.

Music and sound company Sonixphere has appointed Clint Arent to the newly-created post of director of East Coast business development. Arent, who previously served for five years as managing music director of the School of Rock, the New Jersey music school, will focus in particular in growing its ties to New York advertising agencies and others in the ad community. He will report directly to Greg Allan, Sonixphere's founder and executive producer.

European production company Filmmaster has formed a partnership with Pocko, a London-based creative platform representing international artists and photographers. All of Pocko's motion & interactive artists, including animation firm Cirkus, Brazilian visual artist Marcel Ziul, Dutch studio Onesize and New York artist Jungeun Kimen, will become part of the Filmmaster roster both in the Italian and Spanish market. Filmmaster,whose executive producer is Lorenzo Cefis (left), will also become Pocko's partner for the executive production of its photographic campaigns.

Landor Associates has hired Philip VanDusen as executive creative director to lead brand and design work for P&G's portfolio of brands as well as KraftFoods, among others. VanDusen, who will be based in Cincinnati, was previously executive creative director of Anthem Worldwide in San Francisco and has previously served as vice president of Graphics and Packaging at Old Navy.

Sterling-Rice Group, the Colorado based brand strategy, innovation and creativity firm, has promoted Wade Paschall to group creative director. Since joining SRG in June of last year, Paschall has led campaigns for clients including the Children's Hospital Colorado, Nature Sweet Tomatoes, John's Mansville, and Waterpik. Before joining SRG, he was a group creative director at Arnold Worldwide in Boston where he oversaw all creative work on the Jack Daniel's account.
