Gerard Caputo is joining Ogilvy & Mather New York as senior partner, executive creative director. Caputo moves from Crispin Porter Bogusky, where he was ECD for its Miami office. There he rebuilt the creative department working on accounts including Met Life and vitaminwater, and on new business. Caputo's work has included the PBS 'Fish' commercial, which won an Emmy Award, and FedEx's 'Pigeons' Superbowl spot, also nominated for an Emmy, during his time at at BBDO. He started his career at Mullen and also worked in Minneapolis for Fallon and in New York for DDB. Recently he served on the One Show jury and was an instructor at the Pratt Institute. At Ogilvy, he will be work on American Express among other accounts. His is the latest in several creative hires under Ogilvy CCO North America Steve Simpson, including Alfonso Marian who joined from Shackelton, Madrid and Ian MacKellar in Toronto as the agency's new chief creative officer.

Creatives Mikon van Gastel and Joe Wright, along with executive producer Maggie Meade have formed SiblingRivalry, a creative collective that will work across all platforms. Van Gastel started his career at Imaginary Forces before opening production company AVSO and design and animation studio, Offspring. Wright was previously ECD and partner at design and motion graphic studio, Trollb├Ąck & Company. Meade was previously executive producer of the Design + Digital department of @radicalmedia.

Los Angeles-based Boxer Films has signed Italian director Igor Borghi for U.S. commercial representation. Borghi has directed spots for Yamaha, La Cucina Italiana, UBI Bank and others and won Best European Branded Short Film at the '10 Young Directors Awards for La Cucina Italiana. He also writes and makes short films of his own and is currently developing several feature projects.

Brooklyn creative agency Big Spaceship has hired Alasdair Lloyd-Jones into the new role of partner & chief operations officer. He joins the agency from San Francisco agency .Cutwater, where he was co-president & chief strategic officer, and has also worked at agencies including Ogilvy, Publicis and Deutsch across Europe, Asia and North America. In his new role he will oversee the strategic vision for Big Spaceship, develop new practices and manage the core management team, reporting to agency founder and CEO Michael Lebowitz. Big Spaceship minister of technology Joshua Hirsch and general manager Jason Prohaska, who joined the agency in 2002 and 2004 respectively, have also been named partners.
