Miki Matsui has been named CCO of TBWA/Hakuhodo, where he will be responsible for integrating and managing creative work for all the agency's clients. Matsui has worked at the agency since 1986 on the Nissan Motor account, among others, promoting the Serena, Cube and Note as well as many of the brand's major campaigns. He became ECD in 2006. Matsui replaces former CCO Minoru Fujii, who will become the general manager of the creative division of Hakuhodo Inc.

In other TBWA news, WhybinTBWATequila Sydney has named Dave Bowman and Matty Burton joint creative directors at the Sydney office. The pair will replace Garry Horner and will begin their posts in early July 2010. Bowman will move from Saachi & Saatchi, Sydney, where he is CD, and Burton will leave his post as CD at Droga5 Sydney. Burton and Bowman will reunite at the agency, where they began their careers had spent six years before moving on to The Glue Society, Saatchi NZ and Droga5 New York. Collectively, the pair have produced work like The Million Project, VB "Regulars" and "Raise a Glass" and Virgin Mobile "5 Cent," and have won major awards including two Cannes Titanium Lions, a Grand Prix and D&AD Black Pencil.

TBWA/London has appointed ACNE Film vet Johan Dahlqvist as creative director, working on accounts like Skittles, Starburst, Nissan, Absolut, Sony and Twix. while at ACNE, Dahlqvist directed campaigns for Nike, EA Sports, Burger King and Nokia. Before ACNE, Dahlqvist was an AD at Wieden + Kennedy Amsterdam.

Saatchi & Saatchi L.A. recently announced key digital hires to its creative and integrated production department. Jason Nichols joins as a CD and will work a wide range of Toyota projects. He moves from TBWA/Chiat/Day, where he worked on Pepsi's "Refresh Project." Prior to that he worked at R/GA, on digital campaigns for Nike Basketball and Nokia. Nichols also has extensive experience in music, fashion and photography and has worked on clients like Rocawear, Toyota Scion and Diageo. Crispin alum Dave Evans joins as senior integrated producer. At Crispin, his projects included Microsoft's "Real PC" campaign, Coke Zero NASCAR's Rooftop Racer, and projects for BK and VW. Donnell Johnson joins the agency as associate CD/Copywriter, from 180 L.A, where he worked on adidas and Sony. Prior to that he was at Crispin's Boulder and Miami offices, where he worked on VW, Coca-Cola, Sprite, Target and Old Navy. Gary Rosen joins as associate CD/copywriter, from 42 Entertainment, where he worked for four years on clients like Microsoft, Warner Brothers and Activision. He was lead writer on the 2009 Cannes Cyber Grand Prix winning "Why So Serious?" Campaign for The Dark Knight. He also has several TV credits to his name, as a screenwriter/producer on shows like The Amazing Race and Extreme Makeover: Home Edition.

R/GA announced the opening of a new office in Singapore, to serve as the agency's Asia/Pacific hub. The launch was prompted by the agency's win of Mastercard's global business in 2009. The agency is in the process of building its staff, expected to be about 15 in 2010. Key hires are forthcoming.

Director Adria Petty has signed to the roster of A Whitelabel Product. Petty directed the Paris Hilton doc Paris, Not France, Macy Gray's new video "Beauty In the World, and McDonald's "Breathing Room," among others.

Anonymous has signed Trevor Cawood to its roster for U.S. representation. Cawood has directed spots for Citroen, Verizon and GMC, as well as the short film Terminus. He is also partner at his own VFX studio, The Embassy, known for its work on films like District 9, Iron Man and Iron Man 2.
