Director Jesse Dylan (pictured) has launched Wondros, a
coalition of filmmakers, producers and talent dedicated to using
social forces for like-minded causes and brands. The roster will
include storyteller Javier Aguilera, Sundance and TV helmer Mark
Pellington, Oscar-nominee David O. Russell, filmmaker Antoine
Fuqua, musician/composer/director Trent Reznor and director Aaron
Schneider. Brands the Wondros team has worked with include American Express,
Nintendo, ONE, Ketel One, Stand Up to Cancer, Michelle Obama's
iParticipate, Brad Pitt for Make it Right and Lybba.
Park Pictures has formed a narrative feature company, Park Pictures Features, with independent film writer/director Galt Niederhoffer and producer Sam Bisbee. Park Pictures Features' first project will be the family comedy, Robot & Frank, starring Frank Langella, Susan Sarandon, James Marsden, Liv Tyler, Jeremy Strong and Liev Schreiber. The film marks the feature film directorial debut of Park Pictures' director Jake Schreier. Park Features' next projects are the directorial debut of Lance Acord, and a new project from British director, Ringan Ledwidge.
Deutsch New York has hired Mike Shackle as SVP, group creative director on its Microsoft account. Shackle was most recently executive creative director at BBH New York, where he led creative for the global Vaseline and Ally Bank accounts. Prior to BBH, he worked as ECD at Y&R Enfatico in Beijing on the Land Rover account, for which he helped win the agency its first Cannes Lion. Shackle also spent a decade in Singapore, including at McCann-Erickson Singapore, Ronin, and TBWA/Tequila.
