Passport Films has signed William Kirkley to its roster of directors. Kirkley, who has directed several commercials for Chevrolet Europe, began his career directing music videos for L.A.-based bands including the Flys. He toured and traveled with bands documenting tours before directing his first documentary, the Steve Buscemi narrated Excavating Taylor Mead. Over the past few years, Kirkley, who is now based on the West Coast, has focused on commercials. Between spots, he is currently in production on the feature-length documentary Orange Sunshine, the true story of Orange County's Brotherhood of Eternal Love.

The Martin Agency has appointed Jorge Calleja as senior vice president, group creative director. He most recently served as executive creative director for Sid Lee (Amsterdam), where he was responsible for all creative output from the office, including Red Bull, Oggu, Havana Club and global work for the Adidas brand. Prior to Sid Lee, Calleja, who was born and raised in Mexico City, worked at Wieden+Kennedy, Amsterdam as global creative director on Coca-Cola, Honda and LEGO. Before that, he served as an art director at Goodby Silverstein & Partners/San Francisco, working on the 'Get the Glass?' campaign, HP and brands including Sprint, Hyundai and Rolling Rock. He has won awards including a D&AD 'Black Pencil", One Show awards and two Grand Prix from Cannes.

Euro RSCG has appointed Christian Carl as executive creative director focusing primarily on the agency's Dos Equis account, while providing creative support to its business development efforts. Carl joins Euro from McGarryBowen, where he ran the agency's United Airlines pitch. Prior to McGarryBowen, he spent seven years at Arnold Worldwide in roles based in Washington D.C., and Boston. After joining Arnold Worldwide in D.C., he was promoted to interactive creative director in the Boston office where he oversaw work for Volkswagen. He also led the North American Volvo account.

Norwegian commercial director Anniken Lien has signed with The Joneses for commercial representation. Her credits include work for such brands as Volkswagen, Nivea, Kraft, L'Oreal, Nestle and Lego in association with agencies and production companies across Europe. Her work includes a Scandinavian 7-Eleven campaign in which two women openly discuss dating and sexual liaisons. Lien was introduced to The Joneses by feature film and commercial director Hans Moland, who is also represented by the company.

London based director Steve Reeves has signed with TWC for representation in the U.S. Known for his work for brands including Prudential and Agent Provocateur, Reeves has won numerous awards, both as a creative and a director, among which are 9 BTAA Gold Arrows,12 Creative Circle Golds, and 18 Entries into the D&AD Annual. His Agent Provocateur commercial won Best Cinema Commercial at BTAA. He began his career as a copywriter at BMP DDB, before moving to start directing as a duo with his creative partner Paul Gay. In 2001 he helped set up Another Film Company with ex Gorgeous Enterprises founder and producer Tim Marshall, which still continues today.





French director Julien Faure is joining Troublemakers.tv for commercial representation. . Previously half of the directing duo centcinquantesept, Faure previously co-directed several commercials such as the Fiat 500 'hands' film for Leo Burnett France. His first commercial for Troublemakers.tv is a spot SNCF called Elixir.

LA-based creative studio Duck has added animator/director Ned Wenlock to its roster. His ad work, which has been featured at onedotzero, Annecy, Supertoon, and PromaxBDA, includes spots for Honda and UBank while his music portfolio includes videos for CasioNova, MGMT, and Danger Beach's Apache, which was selected by IdN magazine for its best of 2011 roundup.

Baldwin&, Raleigh, has appointed Ian Fairbrother as writer, primarily on Burt's Bees. Previously, Fairbrother was senior writer at Wieden +Kennedy, Portland, working on Dodge, Nike and Heineken. Baldwin& staff has now doubled, to 24, since late last year when it became agency of record for Burt's Bees.
