Director Wes Anderson, best known for his work on features like the recent Moonrise Kingdom, Fantastic Mr. Fox, The Royal Tenenbaums and Rushmore, has joined The Directors Bureau for commercials representation, from Moxie Pictures.
In joining The Directors Bureau, Anderson tightens his partnership with The Directors Bureau founder/director Roman Coppola, with whom he's collaborated on a number of projects. The two co-wrote Moonrise Kingdom as well as The Darjeeling Limited, along with Jason Schwartzman. The pair also co-directed the 2012 Stella Artois "Apartomatic" spot, out of Mother, New York.
The move ends Anderson's 15-year relationship with Moxie, through which he directed spots for brands including Sony, American Express, AT&T, Dasani, Avon, Stella and more. "I have had a terrific time with Moxie," said Anderson in a statement. "It has been an invaluable experience for me and I expect to work with them again often in the future." Says Moxie Pictures President Danny Levinson, "Wes is a friend and we have had a very successful tenure together. Life is long and I am sure we will collaborate in the future."
