Zuma Films has signed director Steve Urbano to
its roster. Urbano began his career as a graphic designer and art
director, before moving into motion design and computer animation
and, ultimately, live action directing. His experience ranges from
commercials to network promos to documentaries for brands including
Discovery Channel, DISH Network, Pepsi, Ford, DuPont, HGTV,
The Food Network and The Sundance Channel. His work has won awards
such as National Addy's, Clio Awards and EMMY's.
Zuma signs Urbano, Peretz joins Tool and more
Tool has appointed Danielle Peretz to the role of
executive producer. Peretz joins Tool from Anonymous Content, where
she produced commercials, branded content, music videos, and
documentaries. She has overseen work for Levi's, Ubisoft, Old Navy,
Budweiser and Ritz Carlton as well as music videos for Madonna,
B.B.King, NIN, Beck, Green Day, Lenny Kravitz, R.E.M, Michael
Jackson and Janet Jackson. During her career she has received MTV
VMA awards and a Palm d'Or at Cannes, and introduced the patented
DVD multi-channel MX technology to record labels, production
companies, music managers, and music video and feature film
directors.
New York and LA-based hybrid production and post production company
Humble has hired Sue Romweber as head of post
production. Romweber most recently was freelancing for Humble
before joining full time in her new role, which will see her head
up its editorial, visual effects and finishing work. Prior to this,
she has worked at New York creative editorial and post houses such
as jumP, Smoke & Mirrors and Lost Planet. Other previous roles
include producing at DDB and Draft
FCB.
Los Angeles production house and agency mOcean has hired
Tomasz Opasinski, a multimedia visual artist and
graphic designer, as a creative director in its print department.
Opasinski previously held a senior art director position at
entertainment marketing agency BLT, and contributed in similar
roles at Trailer Park, CREW Creative, Concept Arts, and at ad
agency Euro RSCG Dialog. Recent feature campaigns include Wreck
It Ralph, Frankenweenie, and The
Avengers.
