Conill Takes Top Honors at Ad Age's Hispanic Creative Awards

Conill won Best of Show for its "Is that the Lineman?" Toyota campaign (above) at Advertising Age's 10th annual Hispanic Creative Advertising Awards on September 12th at the Beverly Hilton in Los Angeles. A jury headed by Juan Carlos Rodriguez, the CCO of Badillo Nazca Saatchi & Saatchi (which itself won a Silver and three Bronze awards for its own Toyota campaigns), picked Conill as the top honoree from over 760 entries.

The "Lineman" campaign featured videos of players being distracted by Toyota Corolla billboards at the bottom of the screen during a televised soccer tournament. Along with picking up the Best of Show prize and six other awards overall, Conill's CCO Pablo Buffagni won the Creative Director of the Year award at the event.

Gold prizes, meanwhile, went to other Hispanic agencies including Miami's la comunidad for both its Cyloop "Pants" spot (above) and its Katrina Foundation interactive ad, while Long Beach, CA-based Grupo Gallegos won for its "Bruja" spot for the California Milk Processor Board (below).
