The holiday season is a time of good cheer, lots of parties and, of course, creative self-promotion. This year, New York edit house MacKenzie Cutler -- which once sent $50 bills to all its clients with instructions to "Buy your own damn fruit basket." -- heralds the holidays with a 40-foot billboard in SoHo. The signage includes the names of all the creatives and directors the shop worked with this year, under the headline "The Following People Are Great. No One Is As Great As They Are."

According to co-founder Ian MacKenzie, the company sent each person on the list a photograph of the street signs from the intersection nearest the billboard -- with no further explanation -- in an attempt to lead clients to discover the billboard themselves. So if you have received such a picture, but haven't made it down to SoHo, don't miss out on your 46 days of fame. The billboard, which went up on Monday, comes down Feb. 1.
