MGD Challenges Bud for Consumers' Affection

A woman brings a new beer home to meet her family.
Miller Brewing goes straight at market leader Budweiser in a new campaign for Miller Genuine Draft from The Martin Agency. Three new spots, directed by Epoch Films' Stacy Wall, show beer drinkers as they break off their relationships with Budweiser in favor of MGD.

In one, we see a woman giving a bottle of Bud the breakup talk as she tries to let the King of Beers down easy. In a second commercial, a man comes home from a night out drinking Miller to find a scorned Budweiser waiting up for him. In a third, a woman brings her new beer home to meet the parents.

The campaign is The Martin Agency's first work for the beer maker, which has recently relied on a range of agencies for its creative, including Ogilvy & Mather, Y&R/Chicago and Wieden + Kennedy/Portland.
