Online Oscars Hand Out the Hardware

The 11th annual Webby Awards were announced yesterday, handing out online accolades in a record 65 categories. Sites of all shapes and sizes had the chance to go home either a Webby Winner, a People's Voice Winner or both. Many of the winners were from the advertising industry, nabbing awards in a gaggle of categories.
The Automotive Webby went to Euro RSCG 4D for its Volvo C30 site A Product of Free Will. Saatchi & Saatchi LA landed the People's Voice for Yaris Virtual Test Drive.
In Beauty & Cosmetics, Tribal DDB won both awards for its Philips Norelco Bodygroom effort. The firm also won in the Sports category for The Reggie Bush Project.
Forsman & Bodenfors won both Best Navigation/Structure awards and the People's Voice for Best Visual Design – Aesthetic for IKEA, Dream Kitchen.
The Best Use of Animation or Motion Graphics People's Voice award and both Best Use of Video or Moving Image awards went to Goodby, Silverstein & Partners for Adobe CS2.3 - The Creative Mind.
Draftfcb won the People's Voice award for Consumer Electronics with its Motocolors site and a Webby in the Restaurant category for KFC's Flavor Station: Choose Your Sauce.
Crispin Porter + Bogusky's Burger King Whopperettes high-kicked its way to the People's Voice for Food and Beverage, and McCann Worldgroup/Mekanism's Clearification won the Webby for IT Hardware/Software.
The BP Carbon Footprint Calculator by Ogilvy and Mather Chicago won the Webby for Lifestyle. R/GA was a Webby winner in Retail for Nike Women and a People's Voice winner in Telecommunications for The Verizon Beatbox Mixer.
The fine folks behind We-Make-Money-Not-Art won both awards for best Blog– Culture/Personal, and one of our favorite online games, Samorost2 by Amanita Design won the Webby for Games.
