Much of an American's working life is powered by pizza. Late evenings at the office, all-nighters at college -- all necessitate a cheesy pie. Domino's recognizes this, with a new campaign that celebrates startups and innovations.
The campaign, created by longtime agency CP&B, will supply 30 startups with "Pizzavestments," in the form of special edition Domino's gift cards of $500. The investment will be delivered in a special case, with a letter and certificate signed by CEO Patrick Doyle.
The pizza company is also working with crowdfunding site Indiegogo, where campaign contributors of a certain amount will get a "Powered by Pizza" perk -- a Domino's gift card -- if the project is successfully funded. The perk will be added to the perks section of the projects that are part of the program.
The campaign also includes a TV spot, [below] showcasing people working with the aid of pizza, as well as a social effort that asks you to share what you've done #poweredbypizza. It's a nice hashtag -- as long as it doesn't go the "McD's Stories" way.
