Weather Can be Fun: Forecasting Gets Social at

The Weather Channel is relaunching as a more personalized experience, integrating social media and customized for users' locations and behaviors.

When users log onto via Facebook, or enter their name and ZIP code on the site, the traditional blue Weather Channel logo evolves to include their name (e.g., 'Mike's Weather'). They can create five personal tabs for regular weather updates.

The relaunch is backed by a humorous campaign from BBH New York. It includes a TV ad showing Noah getting his personalized forecast, as well as a Twitter-related push in which the channel tweets forecasts at 20 celebrities with a meteorologist dressed to resemble their Twitter photo.
